VHB tape is industrial double-sided foam, the kind used to hold panels on buildings, but it only reaches full strength when the surface is right and the bond has time to build. Chanvoo asks for at least 24 hours before trusting it with the projector. Skipping that wait is the most common way a tape mount lets go.
Fresh paint needs weeks to cure before any tape holds well on it, so a newly decorated room is a job for the screws instead.
Ceilings deserve extra caution. On a wall the tape mostly resists sliding, while overhead it hangs the full weight straight down. Where drilling is allowed, the M4 screws are the calmer choice above a bed.
When the time comes to remove a taped bracket, twist it slowly or work dental floss behind it. Pulling straight off can lift paint with it.
Where the bracket goes decides the picture size, because an HY300 grows its picture with distance. Most HY300 lenses throw at about 0.9:1, so every metre between the lens and the surface adds roughly 1.1 m of picture width. Plan the position before the tape goes on.

Sizes follow from the 0.9:1 ratio and round generously. Check yours by holding the projector in place and switching it on before the bracket is fixed.

Leave a hand's width of clearance around the projector's vents. A bracket pressed tight into a corner traps warm air, and HY300s run cooler with space to breathe. Route the power cable down the wall with a few adhesive clips so its weight never tugs at the bracket.
