The thickness figure matters most. The plate is made to hold the rim of the round foot under the swivel stand, so a foot thinner than 0.6 cm will sit loosely and one thicker than 0.9 cm will not slide in. Measure the edge of the foot, not the full height of the projector.

Other shapes are a different story. The ball-shaped HY300F football edition does not sit on a flat round foot, and projectors with a large speaker base may exceed the 12 cm diameter. Those owners will do better with a tripod or a 1/4-inch ball-head mount.

Plan the power before the first hole. Magcubic's adapters end in a cord of about a metre, which rarely reaches from the ceiling to a socket; budget for an extension lead clipped along the edge of the room. Keep the projector's vents clear of the ceiling so the fan can push warm air away.
