Popcorn is ready, the wall is clear, and the HY300 will not join the network, find the TV stick or open Netflix. Most of these faults have a short list of causes, and nearly all of them are fixed from the sofa.
Brought up to date September 2026For Wi-Fi, forget the network and rejoin it, try the other band (2.4 GHz for range, 5 GHz for speed) and update the system. For HDMI, switch the input source and power the TV stick from its own adapter. For apps, update the system, then clear or reinstall the app.
An HY300 that loses Wi-Fi mid-film is almost always fighting distance or the wrong band. The projector's small antenna sits inside a plastic body near the floor or the bed, which is a tough spot for a 5 GHz signal crossing two walls.
Work through these in order. Most evenings are rescued by the second or third step.
Some networks will never work well. Hotel, dorm and campsite Wi-Fi with a sign-in page often refuses devices without a proper browser. A phone hotspot is the quick way round, and it also tells you whether the fault is the projector or the router.

Causes and fixes follow the makers' own notes (Magcubic, Salange, DreamFair, Amovfilm) and standard Android TV behaviour. Menu names differ slightly between brands.
The HDMI port on an HY300 takes a Fire TV Stick, a Roku, a console or a laptop. When the wall stays blue or black, the cause is usually the input setting or power, not a broken port.
Laptops need one more step. Press the display key and choose duplicate or extend, or the laptop keeps the picture on its own screen. On a Mac, check the display settings for the second screen.
Consoles sometimes refuse to show anything until they see a screen at startup. Switch the projector on first, select HDMI, then power the console. If a PS5 or Switch still shows nothing, turn off HDR in the console's video settings and try again.
Remember that the HDMI port is an input only. It will not send the projector's own apps to a TV, and it cannot take audio back out; use Bluetooth or the 3.5mm jack on models that have one, such as the ear&ear HY300 and the LONAISCI Pro.

App trouble on an HY300 has two sources: an out-of-date system, and copy protection that stops some video from being mirrored. The first is fixed with updates, the second by changing how you play the film.
For an app that crashes, freezes on the logo or will not sign in:
Model choice matters here. Older builds on Android 11 run fine for YouTube but can lag behind on app versions. For a blurry HY300 picture:
Look at Bluetooth first. A speaker or headphones paired last night still take the audio, even when switched off in another room. Disconnect them in Bluetooth settings and the built-in speaker returns. Then check mute, the app's own volume, and the HDMI source's audio setting.
Gamers notice HY300 projector input lag first. A 720p LCD projector at this level is built for films more than fast shooters, and extra processing adds delay. SKUOU and Xorytin list MEMC motion smoothing on some models; switch off motion smoothing and heavy keystone correction for games if the menu allows it, and play over HDMI rather than wireless casting.
Sharpness settings set too high make fine text look worse, not better. Keep sharpness near the middle for a clean picture.
Power faults on an HY300 come down to the adapter, heat or a timer. Rule those out before thinking about a repair.
An HY300 projector not turning on at all, with no light and no fan, points to power:
A projector that turns itself off mid-film is usually hot or on a timer. Keep the vents clear of duvets, cushions and bookshelves, and give it space on all sides. ClokoWe's Pro+ has a sleep timer in its Starry Sky mode, and other models carry an auto power-off setting that is easy to switch on by accident.
On the Android builds, factory reset sits under system or device settings. With no working remote, a USB mouse gets you there, or follow the steps in the remote app guide. A spare adapter or remote is listed in HY300 accessories.
Usually a weak 5 GHz signal or a changed password. Forget and rejoin the network, try the 2.4 GHz band, and update the system.
Select HDMI in the input menu and power the TV stick from its own adapter. A short, certified HDMI cable rules out the cable.
Update the system and reinstall the app. Mirroring Netflix from a phone is blocked by HDCP, so play it in the built-in app or through an HDMI stick.
