Mirror an Android phone over Wi-Fi, send an iPhone with AirPlay or a cable, plug a laptop into HDMI, and keep Bluetooth for sound. Streaming apps are the one catch, and there is a way round it.

For Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video or Disney+, play them in the projector's own apps or through an HDMI stick, because copy protection blanks mirrored video. A laptop connects with one HDMI cable.
HY300 projector screen mirroring runs over Wi-Fi, so an Android phone's screen appears on the wall with its sound. The one rule that matters is that phone and projector sit on the same Wi-Fi network, as Amovfilm spells out for its HY300.
Some HY300s want a casting app on the phone instead. Amovfilm points owners to TV Casting, and XKTUJW's Android 13 HY300 Pro uses QuickShare. The projector's own mirroring screen usually names the app it expects.

Menu names differ by phone brand, Android version and projector brand; the steps are the same idea on each.
An iPhone mirrors through AirPlay, Apple's own wireless link. Salange's HY300 Pro+ lists AirPlay, Miracast and DLNA support by name, and several other HY300s promise iOS screen mirroring over Wi-Fi 6.
The cause is nearly always the network, not the projector. Work through these first:
A cable skips the network entirely. Lightning iPhones need Apple's Lightning Digital AV Adapter plus an HDMI cable; iPhone 15 and later output over their USB-C port with a USB-C to HDMI adapter. The projector then shows the iPhone on its HDMI input.

You cast a series, the sound plays and the wall stays black. That is copy protection, not a fault: streaming services block their video from being mirrored, and HY300 makers from Xorytin to Salange and DreamFair warn about it in their own notes.
The protection is called HDCP. It lets Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video and Disney+ play on screens they trust and blanks them when a phone copies its screen to another device. Better Wi-Fi or a newer projector does not change it.
A built-in app that refuses to open is a different problem, usually an out-of-date system or app. Magcubic tells owners to update to the latest system version before judging the apps, and the steps are in the firmware update guide.

AKIYO's O1 Pro is a separate mini projector, not an HY300, but its P2P direct connection lets an iPhone or Android phone cast with no router in range. It adds a 360° stand, 200 ANSI lumens and a tripod in the box.
Start the showThe steadiest way to put a laptop on the wall is an HDMI cable, and several HY300 makers note that the cable is not in the box. Any standard HDMI cable of the right length works.
USB-C laptops without an HDMI port need a USB-C to HDMI adapter. Consoles plug straight in the same way, and a wired connection keeps input lag lower than any wireless option.
Small text on slides looks soft on a 720p panel at 100 inches. Keep the picture nearer 60 to 80 inches for spreadsheets, and see the HY300 specs for which models have native 1080p panels.
Bluetooth on an HY300 is for audio. Salange says it outright, Bluetooth supports audio only and not video, and WOOPKER adds that its projector will not link to a phone's or laptop's Bluetooth at all.
So an HY300 projector Bluetooth connection is the way to send the film's sound to a bigger speaker or a pair of headphones, not the way to get a phone's picture onto the wall. Versions range from 5.0 on older models to 5.4 on the Magcubic Pro+ and most current HY300s, and any of them pairs an ordinary speaker or headset.
