Salange HY300 Pro+

Casting is the other strength. The projector accepts three mirroring standards, which covers almost any phone or laptop in the house:

• AirPlay for iPhones, iPads and Macs.
• Miracast for Android phones and Windows 10 laptops.
• DLNA for sending a single video or photo from an app or a home media server.

All of this rides on dual-band Wi-Fi 6, with 5 GHz for low-latency streams, and Bluetooth 5.4 for headphones, speakers and soundbars. Salange is careful to say that Bluetooth carries audio only, not video.

The body is compact even by HY300 standards: 3.73 × 3.73 × 6.16 inches and 340 g, on a built-in stand that tilts through 181°. The panel is the usual native 1280 × 720 LCD with 4K decoding and HDR10 support.

The Pro+ name here means the 2026 upgrade of Salange's HY300 Pro, with the company claiming 20% more brightness and 30% richer colour than before. The 80 and 100-inch rows are Salange's; the smaller sizes follow the same 0.9:1 ratio. Salange does not publish an ANSI brightness figure, so treat this as a projector for dark rooms, as the company itself advises for bedrooms, curtained lounges and gardens after sunset.

For bedtime ceiling films, set the projector on a nightstand and tilt the stand upward. With a typical 2.4 m ceiling the lens sits about 1.8 m from the plaster, close to a 90-inch picture.

Getting the frame right uses three tools:

1. Auto vertical keystone straightens the picture when the projector tilts up.
2. Manual 4-point keystone fixes the corners when it sits off to one side.
3. Zoom from 100% down to 50% shrinks the picture without moving the projector.

Use zoom and 4-point correction sparingly, since both drop panel pixels and soften fine text. Moving the projector to square it with the wall always looks sharpest. The fix is simple once you know it:

• Paid streaming: install the app on the projector from Google Play and sign in there, or plug a streaming stick into HDMI.
• Photos and home videos: mirror from the phone with AirPlay or Miracast.
• Laptop slides or a browser: Miracast from Windows 10, or an HDMI cable.
• Games: HDMI from a Switch or PS5, not mirroring, for the least delay.

To mirror from an iPhone:

1. Join the projector and the phone to the same Wi-Fi network, ideally on 5 GHz.
2. Open Control Centre on the iPhone and tap Screen Mirroring.
3. Pick the projector from the list and allow the connection on screen.

Android phones follow the same path through their Cast or Smart View option, and Windows laptops through the Project menu. If an app from Google Play reports that it is incompatible, Salange suggests uninstalling it and downloading it again from the app store.

Salange's version wins when these points matter:

• The household runs on iPhones and wants AirPlay without extra adapters.
• Specific apps are needed that only Google Play carries.
• A long warranty and a 60,000-hour light source weigh more than a speaker base.
