Magcubic HY300 Ultra Power Adapter

That shared fit tells you something about Magcubic's range. The Ultra, the HY310 family and the HY320 models share this supply, so one spare covers a household that owns more than one of them.

Magcubic does not make one adapter for every HY300. Its HY300 Pro power adapter is a separate part, named for the HY300 Pro, Pro+, HY300X, Max and F. Owners of those models should pick that one instead.

If your old brick is only lost rather than broken, check the travel bag and the car first: a cheap spare that stays packed means the next trip never depends on remembering it.

Magcubic's own figures for this adapter need a careful read. The feature notes list two outputs, 45 V at 0.85 A and 12 V at 0.7 A, while the spec sheet gives 12 V DC at 0.85 A. The connector is described as Micro USB. Those details do not line up neatly, so the label on your old supply and the socket on your projector are the final word.

1. Find the output line on your old supply or under the projector: it reads like DC 12V or similar, with an amp figure.
2. Look at the plug end and the socket on the projector, and note the shape.
3. Compare both with this adapter's stated output and connector.
4. If anything differs, contact Magcubic support with your model before ordering.

A mismatched supply is not a small inconvenience. Too low a voltage leaves the projector restarting or refusing to boot; too high a voltage can damage it. The minute spent reading a label is worth it.

• Model name under the projector. The sticker names the exact model, which matters more than the name on the box.
• Symptoms of a failing supply. A projector that switches off mid-film, flickers or will not start is often short of power.
• Worn cords. A kinked cord near the plug is a common failure; replace the supply rather than taping it.

The HY300 fixes cover power faults that are not the adapter.

A plug adapter is all it takes; a voltage converter is not needed because the supply handles the change itself.

The 1 m cord is short. On a nightstand it reaches the wall socket behind the bed; on a tripod or a ceiling mount it almost always needs an extension lead. A few habits keep the setup tidy and safe:

• Leave the brick in the open. Supplies run warm; do not bury one under a duvet or inside a closed case while in use.
• Run the cord down, not across. Clip it down the wall or tripod leg so nobody trips over it in the dark.
• Pack it separately. In a carry case, keep the brick in its own pocket so its weight never sits on the lens.

On a campsite hook-up, plug the adapter into the site's socket box or a weatherproof extension, never into a socket left out in the dew. The supply is for indoor-style use and should stay dry.

If your projector is a Magcubic HY300 Ultra, this is the one. If it is a Magcubic HY300 Pro+ or the 2026 HY300 Pro, take the Pro adapter, which names the HY300 Pro and Pro+.

The two look alike on paper: same input range, same cord length, same maker. That is exactly why they get mixed up in a drawer of chargers. A strip of tape on each brick with the projector's name written on it saves a confused evening later.

While replacing one spare, it is worth checking the others that tend to go missing:
