Inside, the parts that shape a movie night were left alone:

1. Set the projector facing the wall head-on and swivel the lens up until the picture clears furniture.
2. Join the Wi-Fi. Networks that open a sign-in page, common in hotels and dorms, can refuse a projector; a phone hotspot is the quick fallback.
3. Check for a system update on the first night at home, before you travel. Magcubic asks owners to run the latest system version so the built-in apps behave.
4. Turn the focus wheel until text at the corners is sharp.
5. Let auto vertical correction square the top and bottom edges, then nudge the sides by hand if the projector sits off-centre.

Bluetooth pairing works as it does on a phone. Put the speaker or headphones into pairing mode, open the projector's Bluetooth menu and choose them by name. Keep a speaker within a few metres, because walls and people soak up the signal.

If the projector leaves the house more than it stays, the 2026 Pro is the easy pick. If it stays on one nightstand and doubles as the speaker, the Pro+ earns its bigger footprint. A tripod bundle makes the classic Pro the ready-made choice for garden evenings.

Three things to weigh before ordering:

• Sound. The built-in speaker suits a bedroom; a campsite crowd wants a Bluetooth speaker.
• Focus. It is manual, one small turn each time the distance changes.
• Power. There is no battery to lean on, so plan on a socket or a portable power station.
