Magcubic rates the Ultra's throw at 0.75 to 2.6 m, reaching a 130-inch picture at the far end. Its own suggestion is 80 inches from about 1.6 m, or 5.2 ft. The extra 60 lumens over the Pro buy a little more size before the picture turns pale.

The 80- and 130-inch rows are Magcubic's figures; the rest follow the same throw and are rounded. The tripod bundle's note suggests a slightly shorter 4.6 ft for 80 inches, so measure your own copy on the first night.
Pointed up from a bedside table in a room with an 8 ft ceiling, the lens has around 1.8 m of throw, close to Magcubic's recommended 80-inch distance. A lower attic ceiling shrinks the picture and brightens it, which the Ultra's electric focus follows without a climb out of bed.
An evening that uses the Ultra's strengths:
Daylight still beats any HY300, the Ultra included. Bright sun through a window washes out 260 lumens as quickly as 200. The box holds the projector on its SoundBase, the power adapter, the air-mouse remote and a user manual. Magcubic asks owners to update to the latest firmware first. Budget twenty minutes before the opening credits.
Voice commands handle searches and app switching. Hold the voice button, say the film title, and the results appear on the wall. The pointer also makes web pages and settings menus usable, which arrow keys never quite manage.
For HDMI sources, a stick, console or laptop plugs into the side and shows at 720p. Films on a flash drive play through the USB port.

Choose the Ultra when you swap between wall and ceiling most nights, or when the room is never fully dark. The Pro+ is enough if the projector stays pointed at one wall. The HY320 Pro is the step for a much brighter picture and focus that needs no button at all.
