Brought up to date September 2026Pick an HY300 Pro or Pro+ for a dark bedroom, a light bag and the smallest outlay; its 720p picture holds up at 80 to 100 inches with the curtains shut. Pick the HY320 Pro when the picture must stay crisp at 100 inches or with a lamp on: native 1080p, 400 ANSI lumens, auto focus and Android 14 on an Allwinner H726. The HY310 sits between the two, and the HY350 Max is for living rooms that never go fully dark.
The HY320 Pro is Magcubic's bigger sibling of the HY300. It keeps the stand that spins the lens 180° up to the ceiling and the same bedroom-and-backyard brief, but swaps the 1280 × 720 panel for a native 1920 × 1080 one and doubles the rated light from 200 to 400 ANSI lumens.
Any HY300 vs HY320 projector comparison turns on those two numbers. They change what a 100-inch picture feels like. Subtitles and small text stay crisp instead of soft at the edges, and a film no longer needs a pitch-black room to look finished.

An HY300 at 200 ANSI lumens is a dark-room projector. With the curtains closed and the lights off, an 80 to 100-inch film looks good; switch on a lamp and blacks turn grey and colours fade.
The HY320 Pro's 400 ANSI rating gives it double the headroom. Magcubic describes it as watchable brightness with the lights on, which in practice means a dim lamp or dusk through the window rather than a sunny afternoon. The HY350 Max goes further still at 600 ANSI lumens, pitched at cutting through ambient light.

A white matte wall or a grey projector screen helps either model more than a brighter picture mode does, because bright modes tend to push colours toward green and blue. Picture modes and settings that squeeze more light out of an HY300 are in the brightness settings guide.
Focus is where the steps feel most different on a movie night. The HY300 Pro+ has a manual wheel, so after every move somebody gets up and turns it until the credits sharpen.
The HY300 Ultra moves focus onto the remote with an electric motor, which is ideal for ceiling films from bed. The HY310 and HY320 Pro focus on their own as soon as the picture lands. The HY350 Max adds obstacle avoidance and automatic screen alignment, shrinking the picture around a shelf or a frame on the wall.

The HY310 keeps a 5W speaker and an air-mouse voice remote, and adds a native 1080p panel with auto focus at 260 ANSI lumens. Magcubic suggests about 4 feet from the wall for a 75-inch picture.

Sound steps up more slowly. The HY300 Pro+, Ultra, HY310 and HY320 Pro all carry a 5W speaker, fine for a bedroom and thin for a garden. The HY350 Max is the exception with 15W stereo, and Magcubic notes the HY310 has no AUX port, so a wired speaker is out there; Bluetooth covers it instead.
